WORKSHOP: BUILDING REAL-TIME AI GENERATED WORLDS IN TOUCHDESIGNER
Announcing our newest In-Person Workshop:
𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍-𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑨𝑰 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒄𝒉𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒓
with artist, designer, developer, and former Gray Area incubator member Yvonne Fang (@_yvonnef_)!
Using TouchDesigner and basic Python scripts, generate real time virtual environments that respond and grow with your story. In this intermediate level workshop, you'll explore examples of AI-generated worlds, worldbuilding tools, and different creative and critical approaches to working with AI.



MISSION IN THE MIX
Mission In the Mix features premiere works by SoulForce Dance Company, Micaya’s Performance Workshop Groups, and local emerging and established performing artists. Mission in the Mix provides a strong platform for the local performing arts community to showcase their work or works in progress. This includes an array of diverse genres (contemporary, hip hop, tap, and salsa to name a few), youth dance companies, and musicians.

Come on down to 21st & Bryant on Pride Sunday and have a gay old time. We’ll have some of our fav queer winemakers on site ready to dazzle you in addition to unmissable drag performances and tunes from people who play them. Join us at Le Dix-Sept Pâtisserie for a fun-filled day of creativity and delicious treats.
This workshop is created in partnership with Artillery AG’s Climate Conscious Initative: Project Mission Mugs. Promoting the use of reusable mugs and to-go ware to reduce single-use plastics in our local cafés by engaging the community in ceramic mug making.

SYZYGY | MOVIE NIGHT : YOJIMBO
Syzygy presents its next pretentious movie night! This month we're watching Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo (1961). In Edo-period Japan, a wandering Samurai drifts into a town that is at the mercy if two waring crime lords, each wanting the Samurai's aid.
Chill movie night where talking during the movie is okay (think like a sleepover at your friend's place). We give a pretentious preamble before, and encourage pretentious discussion after. Snacks and tea provided.

Parade starts on 24th & Bryant Street travels west on to Mission Street then on Mission Street travels north to 15th Street.
The Grand Stand seating area will be located outside, in front of the Gray Area Theatre (2665 Mission St, SF) as well as in front of La Corneta Taqueria ( 2731 Mission St, SF). Tickets are for general admission--no reserve seating available. Wheelchair accessibility available.

𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩: 𝙀𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤 𝘽𝙖𝙮 is a special screening that revisits this moment of experimentation. It features early works like 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 (1969), 𝘈 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳 (1967), and 𝘐𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘤 #2 (1973), and looks at how artists approached TV not just as a platform, but as a medium to be reimagined.
